Flowery Branch residential refinishing

Flowery Branch Bathtub Refinishing, Fiberglass Restoration & Tile Repair

A worn bathtub, a cracked fiberglass shower or chipped tile does not always mean a remodel. Bathtub refinishing, fiberglass restoration and tile repair give Flowery Branch and southern Hall County homeowners ways to fix the specific problem in their bathroom.

Three options

Which service fits your bathroom?

Most requests fall into one of these three areas. Many bathrooms need a combination.

Bathtub refinishing

Porcelain, enameled steel and acrylic tubs with worn gloss, stains or a dated color are refinished in place with a new bonded coating.

Tub repairs and refinishing

Fiberglass restoration

Fiberglass tubs and tub-shower units that have turned chalky, yellowed or cracked are repaired where needed and then refinished.

Fiberglass tub repair

Tile repair and refinishing

Chipped or cracked ceramic tile is repaired, and sound surrounds in a dated color can be refinished to match a refreshed bathroom.

Planning

Choosing between repair and refinishing

  1. Step 1: Start with the problem

Is it the finish, a crack, a chip, a color you dislike, or damaged tile? The answer points to the right service.

  2. Step 2: Check what the surface is made of

Fiberglass, acrylic, porcelain and ceramic tile each need their own repair and coating approach.

  3. Step 3: Repair before refinishing

Cracks, chips and loose tile are fixed first so the new finish has a sound surface to bond to.

  4. Step 4: Plan for curing time

The refinished surface needs to stay dry while it cures before it goes back into use.

How long a refinished tub can last

Unique Refinishers has refinished bathtubs, fiberglass and tile for more than 55 years.

In our experience it is not uncommon to see tubs we refinished 10–15 years earlier still in excellent condition. That is an observation from our own work, not a guarantee: results depend on the condition of the tub, surface preparation, use and cleaning. Ask about written terms for your project before work begins.

Flowery Branch homeowner questions

Frequently asked questions

Our fiberglass tub has a crack. Can it be repaired?

Many cracks can be repaired and refinished. The key is finding out why it cracked; a floor that flexes underfoot needs better support first or the crack will return. Read about refinishing fiberglass tubs.

Can you repair a few damaged tiles without redoing the whole shower?

Often, yes, depending on the damage and whether the tile is still firmly attached. See our ceramic tile repair and grout restoration pages.

Should we refinish the tub and tile together?

If both are dated or worn, refinishing them in the same visit gives you a matching finish. If only one needs attention, we can refinish just that surface.

How long before we can use the tub again?

The surface needs time to cure before it gets wet. We will give you guidance for your project; our drying and curing guide explains what affects it.

Do you serve the rest of southern Hall County?

Yes, we serve residential customers across the area. Check the residential service areas page, or call us with your address.
